learning

At clrmedia.com, we have been helping people learn since the 1970's. In the beginning (and there should be a drum roll at this point), we created distance learning courses with state-of-the-art IBM Selectric typewriters and offset printing presses. As technology advanced, so did we, amassing a wealth of experience in instructional design and courseware development.

We recognize diversity. We design solutions for use by real people. And real people have a range of learning styles, reading skills, competencies, motivation, interests and computer expertise. As a result, we do not address the needs of a generic group of learners; instead, we address the diverse needs of the people who make up the group.

We provide flexibility. At clrmedia.com, we provide multiple learning paths and a variety of delivery methods, including online, print and CD-ROM or DVD. One way or another, we get the message across. By providing people control over how they receive information, we give individuals the power to learn the way that suits them best.

We design for your systems. IT infrastructure can vary substantially. A preferred solution for one organization may not get out of the starting blocks at another. We adapt our solutions to meet your infrastucture constraints. For example, some organizations prefer the provision of higly interactive courseware that operates on any Windows-based system without the need for Java or browser plug-ins. Other organizations allow the use of the Flash plug-in to achieve cross-platform, cross-browser capabilities.

We enhance capacity. Our learning solutions help clients improve individual and organizational performance. We design learning experiences that inspire and challenge learners, whether as employees in the workplace or students at learning institutions. We start with an analysis of a client's requirements, progress through learning needs assessment and technology requirements, and then design and produce a solution that meets well-defined and documented objectives.

We help you manage. Our optional management tools take the complexity out of adminstering learning programs by providing logon, student tracking, reporting, and course administration capabilities. Standard database formats — Access and SQL — permit data to be easily exchanged with existing HR systems.
